Practice

Thomas Cassel is a member of the firm’s Strategic Business Solutions (SBS) practice group. SBS provides solution based services focusing on e-discovery consulting and global managed review services. SBS also provides support for due diligence and all forms of internal and external corporate investigations.

Thomas’ practice includes consultation and professional services regarding management of electronic records, developing defensible legal hold, preservation, and collection protocols.  He has also served as the point of contact between IT departments and legal departments to ensure implementation and monitoring of proper e-discovery practices. He has worked across a variety of industries on complex litigation matters involving government investigations, antitrust, class actions, contract disputes, criminal investigations, employment law, financial investigations, intellectual property, acquisitions, patent infringement, regulatory compliance, and toxic torts.

Thomas has extensive experience with a variety of advanced e-discovery tools, including kCura’s Relativity platform, Catalyst, Concordance, Recommind, Clearwell, Applied Discovery, and Stratify platforms. He also has extensive experience implementing technology assisted review protocols and database management. He has been a Relativity certified administrator for a number of years.
