Embracing Diversity

In principle and in practice, Cosmich Simmons & Brown, PLLC, places diversity at the heart of its core values. We are committed to attracting and retaining a highly qualified, diverse workforce that reflects the marketplace that we serve. Our team of professionals consists of individuals from a broad range of socioeconomic, racial, gender, ethnic and personal backgrounds. We recognize that diverse backgrounds and perspectives enrich the workplace and add value to the legal services we provide for our clients. We believe in creating an environment in which all employees, regardless of differences, are respected, encouraged and enabled to achieve their highest potential.

Diversity of people and ideas is integral to our practice. Women and minority attorneys are essential to our ability to arrive at better and more creative legal solutions for our clients. Our diverse attorneys are heavily involved in networking – both within and outside of the firm – and are responsible for handling challenging assignments and maintaining contact with key clients. Further, our diverse attorneys are provided with training opportunities that facilitate advancement within the firm and the development of sophisticated legal skills.

At Cosmich Simmons & Brown, PLLC, we encourage our partners, associates and support staff to focus on the importance of diversity, both in the legal workplace and in the larger community. We believe it is our obligation to give back to our community, whether through personal volunteer work, board service or financial support. In addition, we are proud to provide pro bono legal services, both to organizations committed to the advancement of diverse communities and to persons who would otherwise be denied access to the justice system.

We recognize that continuing to expand the diversity of our employee population requires attention and effort. By engaging attorneys and administrative staff, we continue to keep a fully diverse workplace goal at the forefront of our recruiting, staffing and retention efforts.
